Aromatherapy
The
word aromatherapy means treatment using scents. It refers to the
use of essential oils in holistic treatments to improve health and
emotional well-being and restore balance to the body.
In
our search for ways of keeping fit and healthy without needing the
use of synthetic drugs, aromatherapy oils offer the advantage of
their complete naturalness and their general safety and simplicity
of use.
During
the course of massage, essential oils will be absorbed through the
skin and into the bloodstream to affect the nervous system, as well
as other parts of the body directly, by toning, sedating, or stimulating.
Aromatherapy massage has a great deal of success in relieving stress
related problems. Supported by a comforting and supportive relationship
between patient and therapist, it can provide a vital key to breaking
